On the night of his betrayal, the Lord spoke a warning to his disciples.
"When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing?" Jesus asked them.
"Nothing." they replied.
Then said he unto them, "But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."
You see, everyone wants to be a martyr, until it's time to be flayed alive and have salt rubbed in the raw. Christianity has become so over-spiritualized by first world affluence and erroneous teaching that men actually believe God would prefer them as weak pacifists instead of meek warriors.
We are unwilling to acknowledge that we live in the "but now" moment Christ warned his disciples of.
I've asked people before if they prefer martyrdom to fighting, and I always get the same falsely pious response. And yet when I ask if they'd prefer to see their own children burned at the stake, something in them changes; they almost take offense.
"That's what you're doing after all, isn't it?" Condemning your children to a thousand years of darkness by forfeiting Christendom because of your lack of courage hidden under the guise of pacifist piety."
We are giving our inheritance away to satan himself, by our fear.
But it doesn't have to be this way.
We need to remind ourselves that our lineage is that of Godfrey of Bouillon, who in battle with the enemy, "raised his sword and plunged it into the left side of his enemy with such force that it slashed through the spine and vital organs and, slippery with blood, came out unbroken above the right leg. As a result, the whole of the head and the right side slipped down into the water, whilst the part remaining on the horse was carried back into the city." (Defenders of the West, Raymond Ibrahim)
This same Godfrey, upon conquering Jerusalem refused to wear a crown of gold where his King wore a crown of thorns, and refused to be called King at all as there was only one true King and instead humbly titled himself Prince of Jerusalem while securing peace there for over 200 years.
Peace.
For 200 years.
Who else could achieve that, other than a righteous warrior willing to sacrifice himself in a Holy Crusade for Christendom?
We come from a lineage of warriors like Nehemiah, who instructed his workers to do their work with one hand supporting their load and one hand holding a weapon. Who despite furious opposition and an impossible task, rebuilt Jerusalem's walls in an incredible 52 days.
Who else could achieve such an amazing feat, other than a man filled with a righteous zeal to build for the Lord and with an understanding that the sword is part of that building process?
Our lineage is of the great Conquistadors who upon landing on Aztec shores, tore down their idols and put holy crosses atop the Aztec temples.
In an incredible historical account, that otherwise would be considered fiction had not so many first hand witnesses attested to it, a supernatural phenomenon occured on the night the Aztec empire fell to the Spaniard army.
"At nightfall it began to rain . . . Suddenly the omen appeared, blazing like a great bonfire in the sky. It wheeled in enormous spirals like a whirlwind and gave off a shower of sparks and red-hot coals ... It also made loud noises, rumbling and hissing like a metal tube placed over a fire. It hovered for awhile above Coyonacazco. From there it moved out into the middle of the lake where it suddenly disappeared. No one cried out when this omen came into view: the people knew what it meant and they watched in silence." (Conquistador, Buddy Levy)
That line haunts me. "The people knew what it meant."
And you, Christian, do you know what it means?
My brothers in Christ, it is time for Christendom to show it's teeth.
Victory only comes by the power of the shed blood of our LORD Jesus, and by the cold edge of a steel Christian blade.
The only question that remains is, will you wield it?
